Volunteer Training Scheme 2012
'All We Need is LOVE
Volunteer Training Scheme 2012: As the first external event of the year, it is a charitable project that mingles participations from various secondary schools and aims at the development of students’ social awareness towards different underprivileged groups. On top of that, it provides participants with the opportunity to serve our society through volunteer training, to enhance group bonding and as well as to broaden their vision in the community. Help the needy and make some new friends in this event!
With the theme of 'All we need is love', the Volunteer Training Scheme of this year focuses on a number of target groups in Hong Kong. They are the physically disabled, the mentally disabled, the visually-impaired and also the hearing-impaired. Through this Scheme, we hope to let people and the public know that even though our material support and work are important to the needy, we must not forget the importance of showing love to those in need.
The Volunteer Training Scheme will provide participants with the opportunity “To Give” - to serve our society through volunteer training, to enhance group bonding and as well as to broaden their vision in the community. On top of that, it will provide ample chances for students to interact with equally able and like-minded peers. At the end of the project, participants will design their own service project so as to serve different target groups in our community, namely the deaf, the blind and the disabled.

Christmas and Lunar New Year Gatherings
Christmas Gathering; Lunar New Year Gathering: It is always the work and to some extent - a
challenge for the executive committee to maintain close bondings between our members of
various generations and backgrounds. Thus it becomes one of our priorities to organise such
gatherings to maintain, if not able to improve, the connections between OSArs.
